22 Feb Press article about LIFMEC: “A friendly hand for upholsterers”
Due to being recently awarded as one of the three most innovative startup companies in the region in 2016 – the number one in the industrial sector category – LIFMEC has gained an increasing interest and presence in the media.
The recent article – published in “La nueva España” newspaper on February 12th 2017 – is based on how Lifmec´s sofa handler assists workers in the upholstery stage of the sofa manufacturing process. With the machine, the upholsterer can easily lift, position, and turn the sofa – operations that are managed through a handheld remote-control.
As it is highlighted in the article, Lifmec´s sofa handler allows sofa manufacturers not only to increase process productivity and improve process efficiency, but also to significantly enhance worker´s health and job conditions.
The overall conclusion is that Lifmec´s aim is to bring technology and innovation to an industrial process that involves yet manual handling and operations with heavy loads.
Finally, it is mentioned that Lifmec will be exhibiting at Interzum (16th to 19th May 2017, Cologne), the world´s leading event for furniture production and interior design.
